How to Find Your Ring Size at Home
Ring sizing isn't universal. A "US 7" from one brand might not match a US 7 from mine, so I use millimetre measurements to make sure your ring actually fits. Here are three easy ways to find your size before you order.
Option 1: Paper Strip Method
- Cut a strip of paper about 10cm long and 1cm wide
- Wrap it around the finger you want to size, where the ring will sit
- Mark where the ends meet, snug but not too tight
- Lay it flat and measure the length in mm. This is your finger circumference
- Match it to the size chart below

Option 2: Use a Ring You Already Own
- Grab a ring that fits the finger you're sizing
- Place it flat on a ruler
- Take a clear photo from directly above (not at an angle)
- Measure the inner diameter in mm
- Match it to the chart below

Option 3: Send a Photo
Still unsure? That's ok, I can help.
- Place your ring flat over a ruler
- Take a clear photo from directly above so the mm marks are visible
- Send it to info@metalbonesjewellery.com and I'll figure out your size for you
Important to Note
- Hands can swell in warm weather or at the end of the day
- Your dominant hand is usually slightly bigger
- Wide rings can feel tighter — sizing up half a size helps
- It's normal to get slightly different measurements each time
- When in doubt, go up a size for comfort
